1/32nd Fokker EV/DVIII Struts by Aerocraft Models
« on: February 05, 2022, 03:02:12 AM »
I saw a few really nice Fokker EV/DVIIIS posted by a Friend on Face Book. He mentioned having used the Aerocraft Models Brass struts for the Micro Mir kit. I checked it out and they make the wing struts and gear struts in Brass. This should really simplify the construction. It also "Seems" to me they addressed the proper fit of the tripod struts vs how they assemble in the kit. No Connection etc. (They are Costly but most likely for someone like Me worth Every Penny)

Those look pretty neat Rick. I did my own however it was a very time consuming and "tongue biting" chore for a Guy with very little experience with soldering. As you say, pricey, but probably worth it unless you're a soldering wizard like Frank (Bug Hunter)!
Cheers,
Lance

Yeah, If you recall I altered struts from other kits to get mine done! Like I said, for Modelers like Me with No Soldering/tube squashing skills this should be a great, although expensive alternative!

That looks like a great set, thanks for the heads-up Rick!

Just for the record landing gear struts are also available :

It looks like it might be difficult to remove the struts from the sprue?
