The title says it all. A wonderful chronicle of early aviation in NZ and of the many young New Zealanders who 'escaped' to join that big European adventure. Adam Claasen tells the gripping and little-known story of their bravery and skill.

I'm planning some research into Wanganui airmen of the Great War so I think I'll have to hunt down a copy, thanks for the heads-up!

Just as I was about to hit "Submit" on a purchase suggestion for my local library I did a search...of course, they already have a copy! Off to pick it up tomorrow and will report back.
