Two more winners in the Special Hobby Grand Giveaway
« on: December 15, 2021, 04:25:01 PM »
I'm delighted to announce two more winners in our Special Hobby Grand Giveaway.

Pepperman 42 will be receiving a 1/48 Pfalz DXII plus a CMK razor saw and a multi surface sanding stick. Thanks for your valued support Steve!

Another winner is Edo who will get his wish granted to win a 1/48 Special Hobby Phonix D.1 plus the CMK razor saw and sanding stick.

I will be in touch with the winners for postage details but please be aware due to postal delays from Australia these will take a while to reach you. Kent Karlsen's prize kit is now in the mail en route to Denmark.

More winners will be announced soon!

Our sincere thanks to Special Hobby for providing these wonderful prizes. Please support the businesses that support our Forum.

Thanks guys this is very much appreciated. Now it's time to build and figure out how to post progress!! I always amaze my kids at how I misunderstand, misuse and Miss America(ie not very sharp) a computer but I will try. Thank you Dave and Special Hobby for offering this.

It’s starting to feel like a long time since these prizes were awarded. Is there anything to share yet, or anything we should know?
Come on guys……you can do it!

I try to keep Forum activities separate from my private life but Flik 63J's post effectively calling out Edo and Steve on their (suggested) non activity regarding their prize kits demands an immediate response from me as Forum owner.

Edo and Steve are in no way responsible for any perceived inaction as regards their prizes. The reason is brutally simple- they don't have the prizes yet.

I am deeply sorry to them both but life or more specifically health has intervened since the prizes were announced in December.

I have been battling multiple health issues and have been in hospital on intravenous antibiotics to attack an infection (not Covid) that refuses to go away. That and severe postage delay problems out of Australia plus the costs of postage which drain forum funds has contributed to delays all round.

I am sorry to Edo and Steve. Their prizes are boxed and ready for the post office but as I walk with two canes it ain't easy carrying packages to the post office.

I'm not looking for excuses but the Forum has to fit itself around life. Were it not for our fantastic moderators Lance, Brad and Zac, this place would have gone dark recently. I am deeply grateful to them. Try running a global forum off a cell phone in a hospital bed. Not recommended especially when I'm handling dozens of bogus new registration attempts every day.

I'm hoping things will improve this year, I'm doing my best but would ask that there be no more 'hurry up' type messages.

Bear in mind this is a free Forum and Edo and Steve have been very understanding which I greatly appreciate. Bear in mind too how few hobby sites now do competitions and kit giveaways.

We try to deliver a quality site but I would be grateful if everyone had some patience right now.
