I really should have made this model much sooner but even though I do not live far from the site of these early flights, it was only by serendipity that I found out about them.

Wonderful model and story. I get cross-eyed just imagining attaching spars and rigging that thing. There must be lot of patience invested here.

I’m laughing at “Icarus II the flying pig”: seems like they were enjoying themselves, I imagine they must’ve had the time of their lives building and flying the original.

Thats simply wow!. Beautiful work. The rigging is more than amazing
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster
