I think the designers had a lot of bracing wire to hand and decided to use it all just for the hell of it - a tricky one to rig!
What are you using? I found it easier to do the king posts as part of the main rigging (in one run) but I drilled and threaded it, it doesn't look as though have used that method....

It does like redundancy was viewed as a positive good, Sir. At least one does not read complaints they fell apart at a harsh look.
I use EZ-Line elastic, cutting and applying each line individually. I put a
tiny bit of CA gel where the end is to go, wet the end with accelerator, and touch it to the glue, holding for a slow five-count. It usually works...
The line only needs to be a very little short to be pulled straight. Cutting the line up to a quarter or a third short can move the structure appreciably, and help (if well calculated) in truing up small mis-alignments. You will see people say the elastic does not add structural strength, but that is not really true. It may not brace up so much as monofilament, but it does make the structure noticeably more rigid. Prior to the rigging, if you picked this up by one wing-tip, you could feel a bit of wobble; with this rigging in, there is none.
