« on: November 17, 2021, 10:27:43 AM »
The Air Force Museum of NZ is uploading its photo archive for free public access and among the latest visual treasures are never before seen photos from the photo album of WW1 Kiwi ace Keith Caldwell.

The original caption was: Pilots 4 AFC at Clairmaris North." Three pilots of No.4 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, standing in front of a Sopwith Camel at Clairmaris North airfield, France.
L-R: Lieutenants Weingarth, Smallwood and Sheppard. All Australians.

Line up of Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a aircraft of B Flight, No. 74 Squadron, Royal Air Force, at Clairmaris South airfield, France.

The Air Force Museum of NZ photo archive can be found at: https://fotoweb.airforcemuseum.co.nz/fotoweb/

Oh wow, I'd missed that! Matthew O'Sullivan, Keeper of Photographs (what a title!) at the AFMNZ has been doing an amazing job digitising the collection. It's still early days but there have been some real gems pop up.
