Eduard 1/72 Fokker Dr.I
« on: August 07, 2021, 02:34:32 AM »
Saw another Raben Dr.I so thought I would contribute mine. Mine isn't as nicely weathered as the other, though.

I also need to work on my photography skills. :)

More in my Internet Modeler article.

Excellent work Matt! For some reason I thought you had posted this one before. Must have been on the list!

Weathered or not that is a lovely model. It is difficult to remember just how small this is.

Not bad at all, indeed  ;) It is a lovely little kit, isn't it. And you have done nicely on it.

I can't see anything wrong with this - it looks great in fact.

Regarding weathering - I'm personally not a great fan of heavily weathered models - I prefer the less is more approach so don't let this aspect worry you.

Concur with the above, and even more so in 1/72. I weather maybe 1 in 10 and only if there’s a story to tell - please don’t think that you ”are supposed” to weather your models!

Matt,

Thanks for the update!  Glad to see you building WWI aircraft again.  Both the Dr.I and D.V turned out very nice.
