Salmon 2-A2 build in 1:16 for inspiration

An interesting 1:16 build log to get the juices flowing for the upcoming WNW release... Some of the detail on the scarff ring is pretty cool...

Bo I can say that Jim Landon is one of the nicest guys ever, in addition to building a great and inspirational model. He's an old pard from the WWI Modeling List, you ought to slide on over there, great group.

Gregory, I was many moons ago from roughly the late 90's up until about 2006. In fact, I think the WWI Modeling List site was THE first website I ever found when I first logged on to the interwebs/intertube back in the 90's. Sadly, I only have one completed model to my name since coming back to scale modeling, real life and AMS having gotten in the way.

Jim is very generous with his knowledge, etc. I have a CD he sent me with all kinds of useful info on it to include the Project Butterfly articles, photos, images, etc. He even sent me some paint sticks with paint samples matched to original French five color camo so I could compare my MisterKit paints with those that had been made to match original paint samples, etc.  Jim has a WWI encyclopedia in his head as do many others. I miss the days when it was a much more active place with the old regulars, many of which have withdrawn into the depths of scale modeling hermit-dom.
