WNW kits for sale
« on: July 21, 2021, 02:25:50 AM »
Regarding my post on May 27, 2021:
First I have been retired since 2015. Decided to sell my WNW kits so posted
to this site. I must apologize to all that responded to my post.
I was overwhelmed by the number of replies. I was a buyer/collector
for items I really like, never sold anything. Haven't shipped anything in
20+ years, other than the kit to Dez.
So I met with my friend about him selling/shipping the kits on eBay.
I told him that I was going to post the kits first on our forum and see
what I could do. I received replies from all over the world I replied
to the first few. I then decided I would only ship them to US only.
I sold 3 kits to Indiana, USA. Then I received an email that wanted to purchase
19 kits, but did not mention where he was located, so I asked where he was
located and it was over 10,000 miles away. I started researching on how
to ship internationally and finally the deal was done. I learned what shipper
was the best and the worst along with how to ship internationally.
So on the 22 kits I sold: both asked what I would sell the kits for, as
many other forum members did. My reply to the two members mentioned
above was that I looked up recent sales on eBay (only those that were sold
thru auction) and took an average of the sell prices on each kit and
reduced by 20%, then I said make me an offer. Both made an offer.
My reply was, I accept your offer, no counters or haggling involved.
So, I still have 15 kits:

32004,32005,32006,32007,32011,32015,32016,32019,32022,32036
32041,32047,32048,32054,32072.

Last, all of you that responded to me via my email, that I did
not reply to, I will respond to you and ask you to see my new post
on the forum.
I will ask the 2 forum members that I sold to, if they would like to
post on the forum the experience of their purchase with me.

Thanks, best wishes,
Sid Ponder

Hello Sid,

I would be interested in the Bristol F.2b #32004.
Could you tell me how much you want for it and postal to the UK please.

Many thanks

David

PLEASE respond using your personal email address in response to my last post.
I tried to respond to The_Archer_
4 times regarding an offer on kit #32036, which I accepted, but none went thru.

Hi Sid.  I'm the guy in Indiana Sid refers to.  Sid was a pleasure to talk to and work with on getting the three kits I purchased.  I vouch for him.  :)

Dear all, I am the other one of the two that Sid refers to. I was the difficult one who lives 10,000 miles away. I can’t speak highly of enough of Sid. He went to an enormous amount of effort to find the best way to ship the models to me at the minimum of cost that took him some considerable time to achieve as he was starting from Scratch. The models all arrived safely. I can’t thank Sid enough. He was so helpful and such a gentleman to deal with.

Another very happy individual who worked with Sid on parting with a portion of his stash.  He was a pleasure to communicate with and I am very pleased with the nice quick result.  I now have a lovely WNW kit to celebrate retirement with.

Does anyone know if any of these kits from Sid are still available?

I see he hasn't participated at this forum in months.

Just wondering if these were all sold.
