Roden 1/72 Bristol F.2B
« on: July 03, 2021, 11:33:22 PM »
So here's the Roden Bristol F.2b, this kit has some of the softest plastic i've come across yet so it's been a fragile build.

Decals are from the Print Scale F.2b aces of WW1 selection and this particular version was flown by Sydney Dalrymple with his observer G Beagle over Italy in 1918. Despite being mainly reconnaissance the pairing was responsible for 4 confirmed victories in the F.2b.

Very nicely done. I like those markings too, just a little bit different.

Beautiful work sir!  That lower wing and landing gear set up has always made me steer clear of this kit. Your build is outstanding IMHO.

Really nicely done EBF!  1:72 scale is a tough challenge when it comes to rigging but this really stands out. Nicely detailed and a unique scheme with all the stripes. One to be proud of.
Cheers,
Lance

Completely agree with Lance EBF. That is an excellent model with very good rigging. The markings make the model stand out.

Blooming great result, mate -

I know this would have been no easy work - Roden kits are great but require a fair bit of work (especially in this scale) and are fiddly to get together so well done.

Brilliantly executed model, this must have been a very fiddly job in 1/72 but the end result is amazing.

Looks GREAT !   And all that rigging must have been VERY tedious in 1/72.

 A real beauty  :-*
The kit is surely not that easy to build and so it is incredible what you have done here.
Greetings,
Michael

Beautifully done, and that is no easy kit either.
