DH-9 Ninak Rigging and Wing Spars
« on: June 25, 2021, 11:04:54 AM »
I am mulling over building a DH-9 Ninak stripped down. However, I have hit a couple of issues. I have a copy of the vol 1 Windsock Data file on the Ninak, but I cannot see from this any images/diagrams that show how the tailplane incidence control wheel is rigged. I see the cables go through the Gunner/Observer compartment but then where to?
Similarly, I cannot work out the layout for the aileron cables through the wings. I can see where the cables leave the fuselage into the lower wing and the run after that is ?? Also with the wings there should be some compression ribs, but once again, I cannot work out which ones they should be.
Can anyone help me out with diagrams of these?

The reviews of DH9 From Ruin to Restoration by Guy Black state step by step fully illustrated in meticulous detail. I do not have this book but it sounds like an excellent reference source.
