Mikr Mir Fokker E.V/D.VIII

After seeing a couple of builds of this kit I thought I would have a crack at one myself. Similar to others that have built this kit I found it challenging in places. In particular the length of the wing and undercarriage struts. I ended up making my own in the end from brass tube and copper wire. I also ended up using some parts from my Meng Fokker DR1 and from the WnW Fokker D.VII early. It can be a nice kit but I am glad I had access to other kits to strengthen the build. Hope you like it.

Nice one LT. For a fairly simple airframe it is quite an awkward little kit, but you have brought it off beautifully.

Very Well Done! Having built one of these kits I know the work it takes!

Very nicely done LT. having built this one as well I know intimately what a "bear" it can be, including trying to replace the struts! You've done it justice and more!
Cheers,

That's a cracking build of the DVIII!
I built mine straight from the box so does not anywhere as near as good as yours.

Excellent build. I have not made this kit but I know from others that it is not easy. You have produced a mini-masterpiece there.

Well that looks fantastic, what a beautifully painted prop too. Love the funky scheme!

It is good to see that one can build an outstanding model out of this kit.
I so much like this one.
...and now I am going to order this kit
