« on: May 31, 2021, 10:46:40 PM »
The triplane craze is back... Sabrekits will soon be releasing their version of the Sopwith Triplane. The plastic is KP's and the kit has 11 decal options, all of them RNAS aircraft. It will be a limited edition of 100 kits.

Looks like a kit kit with lots of options.

Is it a new kit made from new moulds? I have the Revell 04187.

It's a new kit made from new moulds by Kovozavody Prostejov, who have recently released 4 kits of the Triplane. Sabrekits' offering uses the same kit with their own decals.

Thanks Nathan.

I looked up the site: https://eshop.kovozavody.cz/index.html

I don't know if Hannants is going to stock them. I live in Holland, so it would be easier for me to by from Kovozavody directly.

Buying in the UK and having it sent to Europe mainland is a nightmare these days....

I usually order Kovozavody Prostejov (and Eduard) kits from ArtScaleKit, they are reliable and usually the cheapest -
https://www.artscale.eu/?utm_source=ecomail&utm_campaign=2020_12_07_novy_eshop&utm_medium=email&utm_term=16865&ecmid=1668
(The soon to be released KP Vickers FB.19 kits can now be pre-ordered there at a very attractive price).

As for the new Sabrekits Triplane, it's not yet released but will be available directly from them -

I've ordered the three Sabrekits ex-Eduard kits (Albatros D.V, Fokker E.III & Fokker Dr.I) from Obchod Valka -

I never managed to order from Sabrekits. Just couldn’t get it to work, so would be nice to find them elsewhere. I have bought one KP offering, and although the wings are problematic I will probably order one from Sabrekits - if I can.

Reserved a set, they became available, but I was battling some dragons in relation to work, real life, etc. By the time I came back to buy them, they were gone, and I've never been able to find a set to buy since. (See my posts in the buy/sell/trade section.)
It's the only set they produced in 1/72nd that I don't have.
S'ok, it looks like there are plenty of the KP kits to be had between hobby shops and evil-bay, and with the schemes offered on those kits, I should be pretty happy.

The sheet was available for some time. Folk should note what Pheon are doing. Anyway I bought all the 1/72 sheets on faith and it has been repaid!
