Great work. All the goodies and modifications of the engine make it look great.
Looking forward to see your next steps.

Great progress on one of WNWs best kits ever. The DFW is such an elegant machine, sad that there are so few build. So it’s a joy to follow your build. Be careful when rigging this bird. I changed the plastic struts for scratchbuild ones out of brass on my build and didn’t regret the extra work. The DFW of a friend of mine gets bent plastic struts just by the change of the temperature in his show room.

I used original struts, so we'll see ;)

Fuselage closed, added some goodies to engine and fuselage coolers. Drooling bulldog paints were used for basic camo. Cabane struts and landing gear dry-fitted.

Dry-fitted wings brought no issues. I started to paint tail and wing surfaces. Quite time consuming masking job, I tried to replicate internal construction on lower wing surfaces as there is just unbleached linen and tapes around leading and trailing edges.

I added throttle level connection to engine, which is visible on second photo. I also reworked electric generator mount brackets.

The colors are superb as are the subtle structure and wear!

Hi Manni,

thanks! As I wrote in first note, this model is finished already, this thread is more something like quick review to share my experience. Whole build took me 4-5 weeks from opening the box to put finished model to display case.
