This is going to be awesome. In fact it already is, that rail car and display base are incredible models themselves!

Thanks!!! This is fun, playing Catchup with Przl - A genuine GB!

Interior about done...

Some minor upgrades and the map board has been replaced with a wireless radio, leftover from WNW's.
As some of you might have noticed, I've decided to build a FF.33L CHFT (Wireless & extra wing fuel tank).

Thanks for looking: Kent

Very nice.  Muted, subtle.
Will be a shame to close up the Fuselage!

Cheers,

Hugh

It is fantastic seeing two similar but slightly different takes on this interior. Yours, like Przemoll's is looking awesome!

Your absolutely right Rick, we all seem have our own 'style'.
I for one admire Przemol's and others for their clean builds.
I never ever quite seem to get there. It always ends up being a bit dull and 'murky' for lack of a better word...

Some of the 'Show us your' threads shows the different approaches nicely.

Btw: I have finally decided the subject of the Friedrichshafen FF.33L.

FF.33L CHFT Marine Number '1162' on a rail car at Zeebrügge. Unfortunately I haven't had any luck identifying the Pilots.

Kent your work is absolutely beautiful 'dull and murky are not words that spring to my mind when I see your builds. I tend to have 'astounding and virtuosic' on the tip of my tongue. I'm really enjoying seeing this come to life.

This is the best compliment I have heard on my models, Kent. I have to stress, that I admire your work, your special touch that I am never able to achieve.
And as for the cleanness of my builds, you must be exaggerating... If you see them in real, they will not appear so clean... That said, I would love to meet you some day at a fine modeling contest, when we could see our models in reality and chat about them...

And I am glad you found the subject for your model. Looking forward to see it progress and reach the completion.

Thank you for your kind words PrzemoL.
I think we are getting inspiration and learn a lot from each other.
Especially in this very 'narrow' forum of wood, wire and canvas  ;)

Regarding the Subject: I want to a FF.33L with the German Naval Hex linen, but I haven't been able to pin down when it was introduced on the FF.33L's - I suspect it being from the February 1917 batch. MN 1234-1278 where all of those identified have it. Unfortunately I can't make it out in the photo of MN 1162, so I may have to pick another one. Right now I'm closing in on 1247 or perhaps 1262/63. Lets see how it goes.

Cheers: Kent

Hi,
Michael Schmeelke wrote an indeep book on Zeebrügge; as far as I remember small steam locomotives were used 0-2-0 types or the like; I'll look it up for you.
