Roden DH9 1/48 wings (wrong ones in the box)
« on: March 17, 2021, 02:36:47 PM »
As per Brad Cancian's review of this kit, his example having the commercial (Swept back) wings in the box rather than the military version, it seems that Roden have unfortunately made a habit of this.

The kit I just bought has the Commercial Swept back wings in the box instead of the Military version.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get hold of a set of Military Main Planes for the Roden 1/48 DH9?

Cheers,

Hugh

Hi Hugh

Perhaps drop an email to Roden directly with your problem. The person to contact is Yulia Kravchenko, Deputy Director for
International Economic Affairs.

Roden's email address is:  [email protected]

That's very frustrating Hugh, I hope you achieve an early resolution with Roden.
Cheers,
Dave.

Well, I emailed Roden but haven’t had a response.
I also contacted the eBay vendor, who said they’d check with their distributor, which they did, and the distributor said, well, that’s the way Roden released the kit.  Which, I’m not sure is true, but every on line review of the kit seems to support it.

I guess my options are,
A) buy a dh4 and use the wings from that.
B) scratch build a pair of wings.

Cheers,

Hugh
