Blue stuff is a reusable thermo plastic molding material. Dunk it in hot water for a bit and it becomes soft and pliable. It has the consistency of bubble gum when hot and when it cools its like hard rubber. Not great for delicate details but works well for many things. Resin does not stick to it and when your done a bit of hot water and it can be reformed.

And its June! Long overdue for an update. I was stuck for quite sometime on how to proceed the cockpit coaming. I tried miliput and some 2part epoxy putty from a wargaming company. Neither wold roll as fine as I wanted. I finally settled on Tamiya epoxy putty. Several attempts were made before I was happy but overall it looks ok even if a bit oversize. A little sanding and some paint then final assembly of the fuselage.

Cheers,
Sean

The two seat openings and coaming came out great! Really nice to see you progress on a unique build!

Great results on the coamings Sean, this is going to be a beautiful and very unique subject. Looking forward to viewing this one first hand when the Covid restrictions are soon relaxed!

Excellent work Sean, I think the coamings look perfectly in scale. I think I'm going to order some blue stuff, impressive result on the panel.
