Keystone Fire Dept.
« on: March 01, 2021, 04:42:03 AM »
Hi there!
It is time for me to show my last buid... the first time I saw this model I immediately had a precise image of what I wanted to build, and now, at last, it is done!
A tribute to all that old movies that made me so much laugth when I was a child...

it is not the first Model T I buit (actually I have built all the 3 scales: 1:48, 1:35 and now 1:24)  anc I have to say that it is always a nice kit to build! But this one is truly amazing... The detali is super and it has a very good fit, only problem I found is the plastic that is very very soft... but again it is a well known "problem" of ICM kits...

And now, some images of Engine 23 (unfortunately, no decals in the kit... another drowback as it should have been great to have some lettering in gold to apply...)

I hope you'll like it...

ciao
Edo

Edo... what an amazing model and it perfectly recreates those Keystone comedy movies. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I love the little details and the way you have captured the frantic mayhem of those old comedies.

cheers

Great modelling Edo, your figures are so well done and add "motion" to the scene. As has already been pointed out you've really captured the chaos, comedy, and overall atmosphere of the Keystone Theme. Lovely work!
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks for posting this one. It does indeed capture the Mayhem! The Model T is outstanding and the figures in their poses Make The Scene! Thanks again for bringing back the Memories of these Old but Classic Movies!

thank you all!
I really love those old movies and I am glad you like this little vignette!

I forgot to say that some of the heads and the fire hidrant are from MAIM 3d printed items, they are good but you can see the building lines of the 3d printer expecially on the faces... but they are good enough when painted.

thank you again for the kind comments!

Nice and cute!

I have build three of those T's from ICM, but not (yet?) the fire fighter.

As others have written, this truly captures the action and chaos of the film. The figures really do look as though they are about to move and the model take off along the road. It is difficult to achieve a feeling of action in a model but you have done so really well.
