Thank you all for the advice and I'm making real progress !

I'm forever tinkering with combinations of colours to get shades that I feel right. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't; and horribly so. Rightly or wrongly I think that the final outcome has to be one that you are comfortable with yourself.

So, it was back to the wretched Camel I've already commented on elsewhere. It had reached the stage when it was time to start with some serious painting in advance of final construction and rigging. From force of habit I first sprayed the whole with a light coat from a can of Games Workshop skull white to get an even surface which my eyes find easy. Then came the mistake. I sprayed the undersurfaces with a light coat of Prince August Air 74 beige radome - which proved far too yellowy for anything approaching clear doped linen. [Can it be that if I'm in Limoges and passing the model shop I just have to buy something?] Anyway, it was on with a coat of Mister Kit's 05 CDL mixed 50/50 with Klir - and it worked beautifully.

Part of the answer came with a major breakthrough on my airbrushing - but more of that in due course. I now need a break from my students to give me time to tackle the PC10. Can't wait!

Best wishes
Nigel
