What are your plans for 2021?
« on: December 27, 2020, 06:37:53 PM »
So, what are your plans for 2021?

Here are mine:

- Continuing my HP V/1500 scratch build (no, I have not abandoned it)
- Building Amodel’s 1:32 Nieuport 11 Bebe (just for the fun of comparison in size with the V/1500)
- Kit-bashing an Airfix 1/72 HP O/400 in to the HP/100 first prototype No. 1455 ( the one with the funny nose)

Thin out the stash I think, either by building or selling!
With some of the Wingnuts that I'll probably never build (FE2b, Albatros B.II etc) now reaching over 300GBP on eBay, 2021 might be a good time to sell them and concentrate on the fifty-odd scouts begging to rise from their boxes!
Happy New Year to all
Sandy

Before the end of year finish my Eduard Fokker F1, it now has the correct number of wings fitted, but the landing gear struts are giving me fits, much to easy to knock off and plastic struts are too weak for my oven mitt hands to manipulate....

Post new years - finish Shelf of doom Fly Macchi M5 1/48, special hobby Nieuport 11 1/32 and the wnw Fokker E1
At my building speed that should get me to 2023

That is a good idea for a thread Willem!

Thin out the stash I think, either by building or selling!
Same on my side side, but with: Building! Building! Building! 8)

This year I was able to build 8 models, my usual rate was 6 a year.
May be I can reach 2021 again the eight?

So many nice kits want to be converted to down scaled originals ... but a Halberstadt is crying very loud ???

Cheers,
Frank

Doing some modelling would be a great start. I've not been able to do much this year, with the global situation my head wouldn't let me

I got out two more SOD models i started a few years ago. Trying to decide which goes first in 2021. The Macchi or Nieuport. Also found some parts i bought and couldn't find in the Nieuport box. Uschi rigging line and a Lewis gun for another 1/48th model. Also the remainder of my strutz, I've had that so long it’s labeled as Skybirds Strutz so pre Aeroclub. Wish this stuff was still available...
