Hi all,

It appears a new manufacturer, Sabre Kits (a Czech company), has released three of the now out of production Eduard kits, the Fokker Dr1, Fokker E.III, and Albatros D.V:

These look to come with the original plastic, no etch, but some very interesting marking choices. They also seem to be reasonably priced. Here's some extra pictures from their facebook page and website.

Sabre Kits can be found here:

Looks like a great opportunity to get hold of some of these kits with some interesting decal choices for a great price - I'd encourage anyone with an interest in 1/72 to buy some of these and encourage a new player.

Cheers,

BC

Interesting, all these ex-Eduard kits are still produced by another Czech manufacturer, SMER.
Interesting decals, though.

Interesting decal choices especially that DrI - don't think I have ever seen that all blue Jasta 36 option in any of the references I have....

Yep i've often thought about doing that Dr1 in 1/48 - here's another profile of that machine that I found on the net a while back (not sure the source for the stripy ailerons but I'm guessing there's a picture out there somewhere).

There is a lot to be said for multiple 1/72 kits, especially German ones with many possible markings schemes. No sense in making several super detailed engines and interiors when you want to show off different colors and markings.

That Handley Page Hampden caught my eye!

I wish it was in a bigger scale though.

Thank you for making me aware of these!  I have a decent stash of all three in the closet, so I haven't looked for any more, I had no idea they were OOP.

Thanks for posting. Was just about to order more of the Smer Albatros boxing, but will have a look at this instead. Looks like a new webshop too, at least I haven’t seen it before.

Now, when will the DH2 re-box come?  ;)

Seeing they only made 100 copies I tried to order, but could not manage to register. Has anyone else succesfully ordered from them?
