WnW Sopwith Pup
« on: September 16, 2020, 05:24:57 AM »
Earlier this year I finished my Wingnut Pup - the second Wingnut I've built. For different reasons it never made it to the completed section then, but here she is. It was a fairly quick build for me and an easy one. What a beauty to build! If anything, it might be a little bit to clean. I'll experiment more with engine lubricants and grease next time. Enjoy!

Well done Fredrik - nice looking model indeed. Very inspirational for me, since I have a couple in the stash aching to be built!
Cheers,
Gary

Beautiful Pup, Fredrik  :)

I will also be taking inspiration from your build and hope that it will propel me onward toward finishing my own Pup.

Well done!

P.S. Don't worry too much about weathering. The Pup looks great with just the bare minimum of grime.   ;)

That little Pup show a lot of details (which are hard for me to replicate in the smaller scale). Your model is well done!
The kit seems to provide a perfect base to build a beautiful Pup.

Thanks for all your kind words!

As always there are things one would do differently if you built it again, but I am quite happy with the end result and its clean look. At some point I will probably try my hand at more weathering, but I know that I generally lean towards rather low levels of dirt and wear.

Cheers
Fredrik

Beautifully clean and "crisp" little Pup Fredrik. One of my favorite Wingnut Wings Kits, and you've presented it superbly, it's a very nicely done model!

I think it looks great.  The bit of oil staining on the engine looks the part.  It's clean but at some point the actual aircraft started out clean as well and you captured that look very well.
