Some notes about the Eduard build:
                           
The kit was an old blister kit type. Build was straight out of the bag.  I added  seatbelts,water lines,  some engine detail and cockpit detail.  White dot fuselage decal not provided in this kit. Colors are Tamiya X-7 red, XF-71 medium grey green, Vallejo prussian blue, Mister kit GC02 mauve, model master duck egg blue. Nitinol .059 wire for rigging. This was the easier build for me.

The Roden kit was more of a challenge. Some notes about this build:

Added some cockpit detail to include seatbelts.  The upper wing seam is close to the wing radiator and is difficult to sand. Seam near the tail also gave me some headaches.  I used Peddinghaus decals. These decals are not individually cut. You must trim as close as possible. I found out the hard way so both upper wing decals are large but they laid down well.  Colors are Tamiya X-7 red, X-18 semi gloss black, XF-71 medium grey green, Mister kit GC02 mauve.  Rigging was .059 Nitinol wire. There were some defects with the fuselage decals but I can hide this with some weathering if I desire. Overall not a bad build just some fit and sanding issues.

Very nice, yet another superb example of what can be done with many of the "older" Kits. Love seeing these old classics given a bunch of TLC, and turning out so very well!

Very nice -I did the Roden D.Va a few years ago in Pheon's Jasta Raben markings, though it isn't the easiests of kits, it does look great when finished.
I made a little "sanding stick" from a bit of sandpaper glued to a narrow strip of Evergreen to sand the top wing seam. I re-instated the missing wing ribs with some decal strips, like those you generally find between options as a demarcation line.

You're welcome! I tried to make sure the tops were looking the best tot minimize sanding on the more visible top.
