Hi Ian thanks for posting.  For the dinosaurs (me) who do not use Facebook, can you sum up what is there.  Thanking you in advance.

I'm not quite a Jurassic object, so I had a look. It's a link to a Facebook modelling group that I'm not a member of nor planning to join

If this works here is the list:

1/48 Hansabranenberg W-29 never released resin/metal/decals
1/48 DH-5 resin kit. The new release includes decals
1/48 Pfalz D-VIII never released. Resin, metal, and decals
1/48 Vickers pusher. was a vac now resin with metal parts and decals
1/48 Sopwith Baby. Was a vacuform. Now all resin with metal parts and decals.
Down the road, 1/48 Junkers J-1 Flying furniture van. It's a big one too. Resin and metal with decals.

He also has a 1/48th scale Felixstowe F.2a flying boat. This comes with optional parts so you can build either an early or late version. Beaching trolley included.    [email protected]

Likewise I am not part of that facebook group - is this Mike West as in Lone Star Models?

While I welcome and any all 1/48 releases, do we have any pictures of the kits or is it just a list? I'd like to see the quality of the castings - their quality in the past was very very poor (I had the Lone Star DH5 before Karaya released theirs, and it was practically unbuildable; I am wondering if the quality has improved).

Cheers,

BC

The Lone Star Models website is no use in this matter. It lists no products at all so we have no idea if the list posted earlier relates to kits available or due whenever.

Like others I'm not a member of that Facebook group.

If anyone can provide more detailed information it would be of some assistance.

The Felixstowe F.2a masters were created by an eastern European skilled modeler. Mike West is just doing the production castings. You can see photos of all the parts at     aerodynamicmedia.com/lone-star-models-releases-new-1-48-felixstowe-f-2a
The other kits are all completely made by Mike West.

This is what he posted, and what the link was for.

"As a maker of model kits and having been at it over 30 years now, I have had a number of them superseded by injection molded kits or other resin kits.

Digging through the shop in recent months I have pulled together a number of my old kits. Most all WW-I 1/48 subjects. I had some in production and a few that never were because an injection molded kit came out first. I have decided what the heck! I am going to revamp them and re-release them. As follows are some of them

1/48 Hansabranenberg W-29 never released resin/metal/decals

1/48 DH-5 resin kit. The new release includes decals

1/48 Pfalz D-VIII never released. Resin, metal, and decals

1/48 Vickers pusher. was a vac now resin with metal parts and decals

1/48 Sopwith Baby. Was a vacuform. Now all resin with metal parts and decals.

Down the road, 1/48 Junkers J-1 Flying furniture van. It's a big one too. Resin and metal with decals."

I have no idea about quality etc, just thought some members may be interested in the release of new WWI kits.
