CSM Nieuport 17 Late

Not sure if this is the right place but.......I am getting ready to start in on the CSM Nieuport 17, late version, and was wondering what paint/mixtures others have used for the aluminum color. I currently switched to using Tamiya paints but I am open to other brands. I prefer to stay away from laquers and enamels.
