Nice work on both kits. The rigging looks great - and very complex.

 Cgandiaga,

Have received all three Fokkers and the Hannover in the last week (Hannover today!). Great stuff. Now how do I motivate myself to go into work when I have all these great kits to build?

Got my Fokker built DVII yesterday and for the first time had to pay duty. $5 for the honour of allowing them to stop the parcel and look at it and another further $13 and change in tax. All well at least its here...except my lovely lady friend has hidden it til Christmas - without even a look!!

Steve,
The "system" makes me *&*$^%)$# furious! Seems to vary day to day at the whim of whoever shows up at work. I complained about paying over $30 Customs and processing on my Bif order (after half a dozen previous orders arriving no charge), then had my Tripe arrive as though it had been mailed from a Canadian business, no charges..........! As I said before, I'd complain but I'm leery of showcasing the issue and having it "go south" on us.
Can you imagine if you maintained similar non-standards/procedures in your current job or myself in my former vocation?
There! I feel better now he said having got the latest rant off his quivering little chest!
Sorry folks, the older one becomes the less tolerant one becomes of mindless bureaucracy, incompetance, and fools!
Cheers none the less

The funny thing is all the other WNW were dropped at the front door whether I was home or not. This one no one ever came to the door but I got the card saying no answer so pick up at the P.O.-no other notations. Its only when I got there I was told about the charge. If I did this kind of sloppy stuff there would be bent wings and ramp vehicles lying on their backs like turtles. Its a shame because the delivery time was exceptionally good.

I was weak and ordered the OAW. I don't like the way WNW sold out of a couple kits so soon. Luckily I have the W.29 in my stash but I don't want to gamble on the other kits I know I'll want. Poor form if they plan on reissuing the kits and not letting us know after seeing the crazy prices the W.29 is fetching on eBay.

Got my Fokker built DVII 2 days ago. One thing that impressed me was the engineering of the forward cabane strut arrangement, and of course the whole kit in general. The other was the sheer weight of the kit in the box!

My three DVIIs and a Tripe are at present resting in the hands of our beloved Parcel Force (I think) while they calculate how much ransom money to demand.

A Fok EIII and a DH-2 that was ordered in October arrived in the UK, but was sent back to NZ by the illustrious, above mentioned company for no apparent reason. Thanks to Dave at Wingnuts, they were speedily posted back and actually arrived at my door, some months after placing the order. I bet they have more air miles to their credit than any other kits in the world.

So I sit here, apprehensively awaiting my DVIIs and hoping that PF doesn't throw a fit and send them somewhere else like South America, perhaps?

I ordered a job lot from WNW, as I got fed up with paying £8 extra for every single kit. Better to spread the £8 over half a dozen kits.

So I await Parcelfarce's invoice, which will undoubtedly arrive - I think Customs have earmarked incoming WNW kits for 20% VAT in an effort to reduce the national debt.
