Wow, that was very fast, considering what I've become used to with your scratch builds, great work, thanks :)

She's a beauty Des! The only problem I see is that it went so fast, you'll be out of sorts unless you're already up to speed on researching your next project and ready to dive into it.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks very much for all the nice comments.

Having my internet down for two full days gave me plenty of time to work on this model, hence the quick build. Being a monoplane also makes the build move along a lot quicker and the rigging is only very basic. This is a great kit and I hope to see more people built it, especially when Rowan brings out his new decal set.

Congratulations to Alley Cat for producing this model their first 1:32 scale WW1 aircraft kit, I hope to see many more new kits come off their production line.

Lovely work Des, you must be champing at the bit to get into a project that requires lots of rigging after this kit!!

Excellent work, Des.  You make it look all so easy, too.

That's a pugnacious looking little aircraft, isn't it?  I don't mind working with resin, so I'll have to think about this one.  The wallet's copped a hiding in the last couple of months, but perhaps when my LSL and leave get paid out.

These two photos show the size of this model compared to a Pfalz D.XII, basically the same size apart from the Pfalz standing a little taller.

Interesting size comparison. I would have guessed the Bristol would be quite a bit smaller than the Pfalz.

I was also surprised at the size of this model, but what impressed me the most is the shape of the wings, very modern looking for it's time.

this one turned out super nice. gonna have to get me one of these, all i have is the old blue max kit in 1/48. i think it is one of their better kits but this one looks like its bigger and better. its gotta be nice to crank one out so quick after the back to back scratch builds. i'd be interested in seeing an overall picture of your whole airforce in one shot, like you did a couple years back.

Here it is Scott, bit hard to get a full view photo but it turned out okay, also two half and half shots, a bit fuzzy but you get the general idea. All the models are 1:32 scale WW1, two are scratch built.
