Simple Build - Eduard 1:48 Nieuport 17
« on: November 25, 2012, 11:07:17 AM »
Hi all,

After many months of not really producing much, I wanted a quick and simple build to try and get back into the swing of things. So here is some work so far on the Eduard 1:48 Nieuport 17 profipack, built straight out of the box.  I figured something French would be nice amongst my collection of British and German machines.

Here is the interior:

Major construction was a breeze.  It didn't take much to get to here:

And here it is with some paint.  I have chosen to paint the model in the markings of N2779 of Escadrille N.112, flown by Sois Lieutenant Carre, April 1917.  This aircraft was forced down near Leffincourt and captured by the Germans. The markings came from the AeroMaster sheet 48-504 "Silver Hawks - Nieuport 17 Fighters 1916-1917 Pt 1".

I have been keeping track of the hours on this build (never really having kept track of such things), and so far I am up to just over 18 hours of build time so far....

Anways, all comments and criticisms welcome!

Thanks for looking,

BC

Brilliant start, Brad!  As always, your paint work is superb.  These Eduard Nieuports are my "go to" kits when I need a break or just want to build something quick.  They're fantastic kits, aren't they?
Cheers,
Bud

Really beautiful, will take note for my 1/32 Academy build!
The kit itself seems a very good one, isn't it?

Looks great Brad, always nice to see someone building a Noop in any scale.  I need to acquire one of the 1/32nd kits to add to my 1/72nd stash.

Brad,
I always enjoy your work immensely, consistently supurb. As for a "quick build" or OOB, not the BC I've admired for years!
Lovely little gem.
Cheers,
Lance :)

   Brad,
Very impressive "Simple" build my old friend. As alway anything you build truly does become a work of art, even the simple ones. I'll be very much looking forward to your next Outstanding instalment.
