Figures are really black magic to me, so I look forward to seeing them getting completed! :)
Seeing the figure with your Camel I thing they're going to come out pretty well!

Here is where the figures are now. Not Happy with Werners flesh so I plan to repaint. I am also most likely going to repaint the Dog/Moritz. Obviously still lots to paint on both figures.

Manfred and Moritz are Elan 13. Werner Voss is True Details/ Encore Models from their Voss Triplane kit. I replaced the gloved hands of Werner on this one as I thought it unlikely he would try buttoning up his helmet with the heavy gloves on!

These figures are going to be excellent, Rick. Despite you say they are unfinished, they are beyond anything I can do with finishing and painting flesh and clothes.

So, it has been a VERY LONG TIME since I thought about these figures! While waiting for the Oils to Dry on the SPADs I went back and worked on the base. I used a part of a Summer Mat and some static grass to use with Manfred and Moritz. I wanted to do a More Fall look so started painting and put in a few leaves. The figures are posed to show the general arrangement and still need to be finished!

PS: One can see the difference in the color of the grass by comparing to the photos in My original post!

Progress on MvR and Moritz. Overall painting is completed. Just need to do some fine detail painting and carve the Walking stick. Also paint and add rope to the wheel chalk.

MvR and Moritz are pretty much done. Just want to add a wheel chock to the base. I also have added some shading to the Werner Voss figure.

Make the wheel chock all chewed up, it already looks like MvR is having a word with Moritz about unauthorized canine activities.

I really like this figure.

The true story is that some pilots jokingly tied a wheel chock to Moritz's tail...so that is what I am implying although after the event  8)
