That is a superb seat. Speed is not the essence with a build like tis - accuracy is and you have achieved that.

Hello everyone,
Another bit of progress to report. I've assembled the Flugzeugwerke Compass. This was very delicate and
it couldn't have been accomplished without the help of drills from Drill Bits Unlimited and the use of an
RB Productions Micro Saw.

The compass dial is a 1/32 scale decal from Airscale but fit the 1/28 scale unit just fine.

I will continue on my cockpit work and hope to stay on track with this build.

Thanks and happy modeling to all,
                                                                                                Kevin

That compass is amazingly intricate, must have taken great concentration!

Well Kevin , I must say that your compass is most impressive . I use RB Productions micro saws and love them ! can get into some tight areas with them . Looking forward to your continuing progress  :)

Richie, this little gem is stronger than one might think but sharp drill bits are a must.

Terri, it's always great to know your checking in on my posts. I hope you're back in the modeling groove after the bike mishap.

Hello Everyone,
A little more progress. I've made the fuel tank pressure pump using "bits and bobs" from the scrap box
and a little bit of masking tape.

After a lick of paint it's all done.

I'm getting it together one piece at a time.

                                           Happy Modeling!

Another Swiss watchmaker working here. Great improvements over the original kit parts. Very nice work!

Hi Terri,
I spent a few years in and around Neu Ulm about 40 years ago in the Air Force.

That is a build with nice details, and I like details a lot!

Sixty-six holes from a #78 drill bit and some .007" aluminum wire striped from an electrical cord and you're all done.
Is that drill around 0.4mm ? I don't know this number scheme until know.
To handle that size should be easy, my smallest drills are 0.15mm, but very hard to handle without breaking. The next size is 0.22, which is much more robust and used often.
An electrical cord with aluminum wires? Sounds interesting, since I know only copper, at least in this small sizes.

You take a good advantage of this big scale, which allows a lot of realism.

Cheers,
Frank
