Dear fellow gluers!
I was some time off board. After the last exhibition in Fürstenfeldbruck end of Feb/ 1st of March I was ill for a week, and then I need some time to come up and recover. To recover me and my mojo I started a "speed build" on a kit I found on this exhibition, which is off topic.
Benz Motorwagen 1886, ICM 1/24
This car is the brand new ICM kit "Benz Motorwagen 1886" in 1/24. After the pleasant experience with three built Ford Model-T from ICM I couldn't not resist.
Once again I tried to build out-of-the-box, but did not quite make it.
The paintwork was done with Gunze, Mr.Paint, Alclads for the metal colours and oil colours for the wood and washing.
A great kit, but it also has its pitfalls. The representation of the spoke wheels is successful for a large series model, although the original has more and more filigree spokes. Annoying was the mould displacement, at least on my copy.
I dedicate this model to my wife, for supporting me for my hobby.
Enough babbling, now the pictures!
The great print of the patent specification in A4 format is part of the kit.

There are only a few details at the bottom, so one could still let off steam.

Another size comparison to the not exactly big Ford T Touring, also from ICM.

I hope you will like it! I guess I can continue with my normal projects soon.
Cheers,
Frank
