I remember this build of yours, Rick.  Marvelous construction and your semitransparent red treatment looks splendid! I've been hoarding large scale Great War kits and am just now considering whether to get started on them with the Roden Albatros D-III. Thanks for providing the link to your build- I will definitely refer to your notes when I embark on my own!

Very nice work Rick!  I love that scheme.   ;D  I want one!  I have this kit on my shelf, and this really inspires me to have at it . . . once the Pup, Lloyd and Voss DR1 get themselves finished.   ;)  Well done.

Regards,

Bob

She's a beauty, Rick.  I love the color demarcation on the wings.  Soft yet tight at the same time.  Very nicely done as is the translucent red.

Cheers,
Bud

Great looking bird. I will have to go thru the Aeroscale build log(thats tough to scroll thru) as the DIII does have some attributes that the DV changed up.

Steve, I hope you enjoy the scrolling session! You will find some red Xs where photos once appeared, but some are still intact. I built this one primarily out of the box with the exception of using Eduards PE. Perhaps Brad Cancian will post his DIII build blog here. Now that one will show what can be done to really enhance the kit interior  :)

She's a beauty Rick. A nice colourful marking scheme and an excellent looking engine too.
Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Thanks Chris, Your comments are appreciated. Someday I think I would like to do some companions such as Almenroeders bird, Wolf, Schaefer etc. from the same time frame.

Gregory, thank you, I do appreciate your kind comments. One reason I liike the new photos is that my original pics didn't show the work I did on the rib tapes very well and these do!

Missed this when it was first posted up. An exceptionally nice build that demonstrates what can be done with this kit.
