excellent work on the gear and Cabane struts! The results will certainly add strength to the structure!

Thanks Rick!

Still somewhat paranoid about misaligning the engine and/or Spandaus...I check about all I can check.
Found (part of?) the problem!

The frame in between the magazines and (missing) fuel tank is too small.
When you glue it to one side...there will be a gap on the other side...and the magazines will be off centre.
Easy to overlook...easy to fix also. A 0,25mm thick strip of Evergreen wrapped around the frame and it will fit like a glove.

Furthermore...
Opened the frame, adjusted the floor board and pit upgrades.

The NZ D.II replica photo's from James Fahey (Jamo) and the Brad Cancian Roden 1/32 D.III photo's are very helpful.

Merry Christmas!

Great fix to the fit issue and nice job on removing the material from the former!

Thanks Rick. :)

Ready for paint now...

Some extras, but most important...all the frames are now centered and "touch" both sides of the fuselage.
Endless dry fitting and many thin strips of Evergreen to get it all in line. Eduard...pffff. ::)

Okey...let's say the build starts...now. :)

Yes, nice details.  At least you are moving forward as opposed to correcting kit issues.

Thanks T. and Rick. :)

Almost finished the pit.
A couple of wires and the fuel tank to do before I can close the fuselage.

More soon,

Robin :)

Really looks Terrific! Better than some 1/32nd Roden interiors I have seen!

Very nice work thus far Robin, the interior is a real beauty. I have the book as well and really enjoyed it; Buckler was an interesting and accomplished man.
Cheers,
Lance
