5 Amp Fuse Wire - Trans Atlantic Translation

In his builds, Ray Rimell will use 10 amp or 5 amp wire.  Currently, I am working on a Camel and he showed use of 5 amp fuse wire for the cockpit control cables.  I have used fuse wire before and the stiffness is ideal in some applications.

In the US, wire is sold and measured in terms of AWG, essentially how many lines would fill an inch.  Is there a translation between AWG and UK amps?  My other option is to go on ebay and Amazon to order a large quantity from the UK.

5A fuse wire is 35 SWG = 0.213 mm = 32/31 AWG

10A fuse wire is 29 SWG = 0.345 mm = 28/27 AWG

I made a similar table for Formula One model wiring (back side of dash, wires to the motor), so I looked at that.  I when ahead and bought a spool each of 5 amp and 10 amp from a UK vendor on ebay.
