I put the finishing touches on this weekend so I thought I'd post some pics.
This is Roden's Spad finished as B3504, seen in the familiar photo on the cover of D/F 8. Another view of the same aircraft in Jon Guttman's "SPAD VII Aces of WW1" shows some other details such as upper wing tape spacing and pitot tube. Futher photos of 23 squadron Spads in Cross & Cockade Autumn 2014 give further details, rib tapes to the lower wing, ejector chute for ammuntion links and how the port side fuselage lacing goes straight through the roundel. Tomasz Gronczewski and Seweryn Fleischer's superb "Spad VII C.1" book gives yet more info on Spads in RFC service, that even French machines were re-fitted with wicker seats and lap belts.
I spent far too long detailing the engine thinking all the pipes, wiring etc. would show through the fine lace I used for the wire mesh on the engine access panel - wrong.
Ditto for much of the interior, well at least you can see the wicker seat

I used Montex masks for the roundels (first time!) and matched the blue with WNW's decals of early RFC blue. The only decals I used were for the wing tapes and lacing decals from K.D. (48th scale).
Obviously I read Des's Build log to see how it really
should be done.
