So if I can only make it 1 day which would be the best?

I live only thirty minutes from Chattanooga, so my plans are to try to be there each day.

Well that was some impressive show!  First National Convention I have been to.  The number of models was somewhere over 4600!
I'm glad I wasn't a judge.  Most all the models were very well built and finished.

The vendor area was incredible as well.  WNW debued (sp?) the Fokker, which looked very good (but I'm no expert) with sharp detail.  The Lancaster's interior looked very fiddily - many small parts and detail that will never be seen.  I picked up a Pup at the show for a build later this year.  I also saw many obscure and old OOP models.

The convention was quite an experience.  It was run very well and smoothly for such a big event. I wouldn't hesitate to go to another one given the chance.

Anyone else want to share their experience at the show?

I did manage to get a few pics.  It was a pity that the scratchbuilt plane section was on the opposite end of the aircraft area from the WW1 section, as the best aircraft model, and my Hanriot were scratchbuilts.

Best Aircraft winner - a Gallaudet D-1 from 1917.

It was a great show.

Thanks for posting the photos! I was there and was blown away by the overall quality of the models. The Triplane by Ed Boll in 1/28th is amazing. One can not really appreciate all of the minute details without seeing it in person. It certainly confirmed to Me that Ed is still King of the Triplanes and Fokker Streaking  8) The scratch builds were incredible. I wish I had been able to take photos but a dead phone battery hampered my operations  :-[  I certainly enjoyed meeting My Amigo Ed. He took the time to give me a personal tour of all of the winners in every contest category!
