Hi to everyone from Italy!
« on: May 10, 2019, 05:43:19 AM »
Hi Gents!
I'm Roberto Andervill, a 52 years old WWI modeller since I was...11! Of course I had some stops in my production during the years...
20 years ago I discovered WWI aviation and was "love at first sight". I'm a 1/72nd modeller only, not only on WWI subjects but I love too to realize everything flown with italian colors.
I discovered this site few days ago and now I starting to explore.
Cheers,
Roberto

Welcome to a nice and friendly place, where WWI air (and more) modelling shows its best. And growing the little Italian community  :)
Ciao

Hi!
Thanks to all for your warm welcome!
I want to add something to my "curriculum".... this are some of my old models, my first attempts in WWI field:
http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Anderwill/index.html
With the W.29 I won the annual "Gallery competition" inside the pages of "Windsock International", I'm so proud of this....You may see that I'm also fascinating in the aviation of the twenties, the postwar period where many WWI subjects were used.
This is my latest production:
https://www.modellismopiu.net/m+gallerie/main.php?g2_itemId=70259
With the Fiat Farman F5b I won another Gallery contest on Windsock, with the japanese civil W.29 I won a bronze medal in the last Telford Modelling Show, in november 2018. I'm the Coordinator of the WWI SIG in this italian Forum, from I linked my Gallery.
I don't want to be too pedantic, I have many things to learn in modelling, and I'm here also for this!
I may imagine that here there are few italian modellers, maybe I can help everyone want to realize italian subjects with everything I have in my files...
In my life I was lucky enough to be one of the men involved in the restoration of the Ansaldo A.1 "Balilla" held by the municipality of Bergamo, it was a real beautiful period, from 2001 to 2003. Actual place of that little gem makes me so sad, but ok, we have a 80% genuine fighter from 1918, beautifully restored by the Turin section of G.A.V.S.
So for now it's enough, I want to say again thank you for your warm welcome!
Roberto

Thanks again to other members for the warm welcome.
Giampaolo, yes! I remember well "Contatto!" because with Alberto Casirati we were the "home editors". Really "good times" they were...
Maybe you were one of the "subscribers"?
Cheers!

Thank you to the latest welcomes!
I've made a tour more deeper in this Forum and I was really impressed by the high level of the modellers here!!
First it's full of scratchbuilders, the last step in modelling, when you stop to need a box of plastic sprues....
So, I'm happy to be here, I have many things to learn!
Cheers!
