Yet another Nieuport Question
« on: April 09, 2019, 07:21:16 AM »
OK, while waiting for some replacement decals I have started working on some other aspects of my Dorme build. While looking at the photo I saw what is now poorly outlined in red. Any Idea what this is?

Looks like a cocking handle extension. But may be anything else...

Thanks again Xan and Giuseppe. Yes details of the map would be great although I am not sure I can still add it to my build. The windshield is a challenge. I have been trying to decide if it was a later mod or on the aircraft from the start?

Lateral glasses were added by Dorme when it was Brocard plane (the deco I did) it had not.

You can add it later, I did ...
If you need I can send you maps pictures...

That’s a wonderful little detail.

As always thanks for the info Xan. As for the Map Papers anything you are willing to share is appreciated  ;D For now I think I will add the Map but not the "New" windscreen. It looks like there was a "Window" where the old windscreen was still in place before the "2" was added to the upper wing   ::) I am also thinking of changing the openings for the elevator controls to the proper position for this aircraft. It will mean filling and sanding the original upper opening, then drilling the relocated one. Of course a re paint will be required in that section. Sitting back and thinking about this right now!
