A Couple of Oldies
« on: March 04, 2019, 02:10:56 PM »
 Hello All,
I ran across these this evening while wondering through my Photobucket account and thought you might enjoy them.

Here's one for Terri. Aurora Pfalz D.III in 1/48 scale. Rebuilt from a 1960's kit.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed. As always any and all comments are welcomed and appreciated.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

 Here's another for you approval.
An early attempt at a conversion. Glencoe's Albatros D.III converted to a D.I standards.

Really nice models, old and challenging kits taken to modern standards. Like them.

Both are awesome Old Friend! Both are excellent examples that the old kits can be built into beautiful models!

Those are some beautiful builds, Gregory! You took some really old and poor kits and made them into beauties! That Glencoe kit ... what can I say - it defeated me completely! Well done! Marc.

 Marc,
Many thanks my friend. I honestly do prefer those old kits. I kind of look at them like vacuform kits they just need a little TLC to bring out the best. The Glencoe Albatros D.III does have a few issues but nothing too terrible.

Greg,
That Glencoe D.III conversion is amazing! I agree that many of the "old" Kits can be completed very nicely, and your work proves it. Very nicely done!
Cheers,
Lance

Two lovely vintage models which could easily be taken for non-vintage. Thanks for sharing those beauties, Gregory!

Difficult to see from the photos that these are such old kits. I really like the conversion: something that I really appreciate.
