Thanks Drdave for the link, this is a very interesting subject, I have never built a full resin kit so I'm a little hesitant on spending the money to purchase one. The completed model photos show a very nice looking model and there is an excellent choice of schemes,I'll be doing a lot of thinking about this one.

Okay, I thought about it for long enough, I ordered one today, it should prove an interesting build being my first ever resin kit, naturally, there will be a full build log on my website, BTW, it cost $88AU with airmail post.

So glad you got it, Des. I'm looking forward to your build log. I think it's a cool looking aeroplane with an interesting history. I've got the Blue Max 1/48 kit which I'll likely be building about the same time you get around to building yours. We could have a Bristol mini-group-build.
Cheers,
Bud

Ordered mine today. Ali's resin casting is superb. Don't panic! I usually use devcon 5 epoxy. Very versatile stuff.

Broke down and ordered one today, my iron-willed self-discipline collapsing after viewing the pics on the website.
I think I'll wait to build it until I see Des's build log. At least I've retained a smidgen of good judgment.
I agree with Bud: a cool design with an interersting history. They should have ordered more of them!

Bob

I'm not quite sure yet Steve, I'm leaning towards C5001 The Red Devil or C5019, both these aircraft were unarmed trainers. The Red Devil is on display at a museum in South Australia so I should be able to get some good reference material from the curator down there. But, on the other hand I do like the idea of a machine gun mounted on the aircraft, I will make up my mind once the kit arrives.

Steve:
Color scheme for this aircraft is a tough choice, since they all look good. I'll probably do a No. 150 Sq. Macedonian Front scheme, maybe the aircraft of Captain Frederick Dudley Travers, DFC, who had five victories in this type. We'll see.

Well the M1 C arrived today plus a nice extra was a 1/32 figure
Moulding looks superb, a little flashy, but easy to tidy up.
I'm quite keen to get started, but i think i'll wait to see what Rowan comes up with for markings !
Any updates Rowan?
