Rotary engines
« on: February 08, 2019, 11:51:14 PM »

Just a query regarding rotary engines. Just watched the YouTube video of Kermit Weeks flying a Snipe which got me thinking is there just one cylinder at a time firing( power stroke ) or more?
Also looking at getting a resin kit and looking at 1/72 Chorosy kit but concerned that the resin wings will warp overtime. Any advice as to which one is a good kit to cut my teeth on would be welcome.
Iím a complete newbie to ww1 avaition.

Hi Griff, all piston engines only have one cylinder firing at a time, although a second cylinder can fire as the previous one is still decending on its power stroke. I have resin models made years ago that have not warped. build with confidence. regards, Pete in RI
