Amazing!  Are the markings decals or hand painted?  Either way, it boggles the mind.
Cheers,
Bud

That is one outstanding model. As Bud has written, the quality of the markings alone blows the mind, never mind the rest of the details.

Stephen.

They are decals from the Valom kit. I did use about 5 applications of decal solvent to get them to completely bed down.

Awesome work. It's hard to imagine how tiny this must be.
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster

I can't believe you've actually rendered turnbuckles on some of that rigging!
And I have to ask, what did you use for the rigging?

The turnbuckle appearance is somewhat of a side effect I must say.
I used 20 denier black lycra, which is 0.048mm and not visible I  most circumstances (The phone camera zoom does a better job than the human eye)
The ends must be dipped in polyurethane primer, or it simply gets curled up when cyanoacrylaye is applied.
The primer is the reason for the vague turnbuckle appearance.

A happy accident!  :)

Also, I'd like to say that I'm currently reading a book about the French aviators of WWI and it's bringing home to me what an important plane the Nieuport 11 was. So it was great to see this beautiful model.
