1/48 Omega Aviatik 30.27
« on: December 26, 2018, 05:27:55 PM »
Another experemental project from Aviatic that didn't see the mass production.
The model made from a poor quality resin. I used only the wings, wheels and the motor ( the base of it) , rest of the model made from 0,4 plywood and toothpicks, aluminium foil.

You can say this is almost totally scratchbuilt, and remarkably well done. I like the choice of fine veined wood that looks scaled and the metalwork.

As always I enjoyed watching you turn a rough kit into a beautiful scale model. Beautiful results from your use of wood to the metal panels!

That's a pretty nice collection of "plywood, tooth picks, and aluminum foil"! As Rick has pointed out you have a real talent for turning rough kits into beautiful scale models. Very nicely done.
Cheers,
Lance

What a beautiful little thing, so typical of your master craftsmanship!  I love it.
