 I think they make a difference even in this scale ( i just use a couple of layers of paint)

You might find some more info on one of the earlier threads about brass struts (DH5 perhaps?) These are all filed from brass wire, but I've also made them up by soldering a strip of very thin brass to a wire and then sand the solder to an aerofoil section)
There cannot be a crisis today, my schedule is full
