That looks great, Stuart.  It gives me hope for that pile of Classic Plane vacforms in my stash.  The only thing I had worried about was the weight of all the Aeroclub metal parts possibly being too much for the landing gear.  But your mention of brass tube sounds like just the right way to go.  So perhaps I will bump a vacform up higher on the list of things to do.
