Filip,

I also like what you've done with the fuse.
The engine covers look interesting, can you describe how you did the swirls?

Thanks! When it comes to swirls I sprayed the covers with Alclad Polished Aluminium and I painted the them (swirls) using Model Master`s Silver, and that` s it!
Best regards
Filip

Filip, the fuselage is super!  I admire your wood tones...was that
done with oil paints?
VERY nice job of the cockpit as well, Filip.  Looking forward
to more updates.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Despite the fact that it`s around 30 degrees Celsius in my room I have managed to keep on fighting with the KD.
Sorry for the poor quality of the pics - I don`t have the adequate lighting so I had to use flash...
I had a little disaster: I was holding my model and thinking: what a nice Hansa you have Filip when the upper wing along with some spars just fell off >:( As you can see the crisis has been dealt with. Also I scratch built my very first anemometer. I know it`s far from perfect (in comparison for Gaspatch) but I`m still going to use it.
I think the next update will be in completed section.

Best regards
Filip

I really like plywood and canvas.  What color do you paint a canvas?

Incredible anemometer! How you fellows manage that kind of detail on something so tiny never ceases to amaze me.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Filip your anemometer is lovely, you did it in 1/48 scale, and I I did not dare to do it in 1/32 scale.

Jacek When it comes to CDL it`s Gunze C45 but after it`s dry I use pastels to give it some depth and dilluted oil paint to emulate stains etc.
I`m really glad that you like my anemometer! It wasn`t really that hard after all.
Best regards
Filip

Filip, the build is coming along beautifully!  I can't get over
the little anemometer....it looks perfect, but oh so tiny.  You
are doing a super job.  Looking forward to the next update.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks for your extremely kind comments! Now something a bit off topic... A friend of my had his birthday and since his favourite painter is Tamara Lempicka I have decided to paint a copy for him. I haven`t painted anything for 3 years and must admit I miss it!
Best regards
Filip

Both your painting and your model are marvelous, Filip! ;D  Congratulations!  I've always loved the "star-strutter," and wish there was a kit in 1/32.

Well done.

Regards,

Bob
