My attempt at building a diorama, loosely based on a photo I found on line.
No Masterclass here, but I enjoyed the process and that’s ultimately why I am in the hobby.

Looks terrific. You captured the scene well.

Love it!

That's an absolutely brilliant piece of work, I love the animation of the whole scene! The D.Va and Marienfelde truck look great together, and those figures are gems... I especially love the old gentleman with his contraband copy of Le Mond (or so I imagine) looking on with vague disapproval...
I've always loved dioramas. In my local museum there used to be (they've probably junked them by now and replaced them with expensive interactive gee-gaws that'll break in a year or so) a series of 1:32 dioramas with painted backdrops by famed wildlife sculptor Louis Paul Jonas, who sculpted the 1:1 dinosaurs for the Sinclair pavillion at the 1964 World's Fair in NYC. I used to stand and stare at them for hours. This is an inspiration, maybe I'll finally try my hand at one one of these days!

A lovely piece of work . Did you also make the tree ?

That is superb. The figures bring the whole thing to life, but the extra details on the lorry and surroundings are exceptionally good. Bravo!
Stephen.

Very nice, indeed. Congratulations.

Very good use of the kit and the truck, and very nicely put together. Building a diorama is very satisfying (although challenging), especially when it tells a story like this. I think you should be very proud of this.
The only niggle from me is you appeared to use an upturned tray for the base. Those holes in the ends are a bit distracting. One thing you could consider is attaching strips of thin veneer along the sides and attach them with double-sided tape, then fill any slight gaps and paint them black. This would really set of all your hard work much better IMO. But of course, it's entirely up to you.... :D

Wow!
What a great model and wonderful diorama - a great scene you have created.

Yes, I agree with you and I plan to do something about that. But I would like it to be a black closed base. So I’m looking for some plastic strips to spray black or similar. It also needs a label, which I have on order from an engraver and maybe I’ll try and weather the truck/plane a little.

No I found a tree I liked in a shop. I was going to my own one, but this one was just what I wanted

Very nice!

That's great news, it will really set it off nicely.
I would still recommend using 0.5mm veneer (which you can buy in packs from Amazon). This is much stiffer and holds its shape better than plastic strips. I've tried using strips cut from Plasticard and I am currently experimenting with pre-glued melamine edging strips (used for edging kitchen units), and the veneer is my favourite, although it does involve a little more work. But you might want to experiment with a few things and see which you prefer.
I've attached a picture of how I used this on a WWI diorama I was recently working on, I found it was very effective (I painted it black on the finished piece).

Maybe, that would indeed work, I'll have a look. Nice diorama by the way.

Nice diorama. The Albatros is nicely done, and the truck looks great too =).
