I guess I'll go with it the way it is.
The procedure isn't as daunting as I thought.
One color will be done with the first coat of paint. Full masks applied.
Masks removed for color #2 , paint shot , masks back on. If the removed masks are laid out carefully , they will be easy to replace.
Masks removed for color #3 , replaced.
Masks removed for color #4 , replaced
Masks removed for color #5 , no need to replace as the job is done.
Diligent mask replacement and careful paint work will be key to reducing the cleanup after alla the paint is applied.
Some colors to have differing flat or satin clears as I go through the work.
I think it will be a long 8 hour day with an hour between paint applications , as with all paint work , proper preparation is vital.
I'll need to seal the fuse up and prep for the gloss black front section and lower wing center section as these were varnished plywood on many of these bombers.
