Weekend Challenge: Werner Voss's F.1
« on: September 23, 2017, 10:20:29 AM »
On this, the 100th anniversary of Werner Voss's death, I decided to see if this kit could, in fact, be built in a weekend.  Started this morning, I'm 8 hours in and have gotten quite a bit done.

Guess you can tell to which school of thought I subscribe.  ;)

OOB except for the seat belts and the throttle.

Cheers,
Bud

Quite a challenge you have set your self Bud but what you have done so far in a relatively short time is excellent, looking forward to seeing if you meet your target.

Looks great!  You seem to be doing in an hour what takes me a week. What are you using for paints and woodgraining that dries so quickly?  You seem to be able to mask and apply decals over really freshly painted surfaces without disturbing them.

Bud, I have this kit too, but I'm much to slow for such short build time!

Your start looks good, but a weekend is really not long. I always asked me about the reason for the name of this Eduard series, may be I will know soon, that this is really possible. So I suggest to switch the computer off, this forum will take to much time for you this weekend, but please come back on Sunday evening ;)
Good luck!

Cheers,
Frank

Like some others I can barely cut some plastic in a weekend, you are intending to build the whole kit! So far it looks much like one of your usual builds - even if it is high speed. Looking forward to more - will you be working a night shift?

Good luck Bud!

I somehow knew that you wouldn't be able to NOT add something that didn't come in the box. ;)

It usually takes me a weekend just to prep the parts to be ready for painting.  ::)
