That's because the large box was massively oversized for the tiny, bagged Pfalz! I shook my head when I saw it, it was close to the size of a printer paper box!

The last one from Hannants in the UK, however their site says "This has sold out but will be back in stock again soon".  I wonder if that is their general statement, or if they had ordered a batch from WNW just before they sold out?

I've been after an Eduard 1/72 DH2 for a while and I've finally got one!  ;D ;D

I'm going to have to be very careful with this one. Despite being so small, it's a very detailed kit, with photo-etched parts and painting masks.  :o

Just arrived! A new home for my Taurus Gnome that didn't fit into my Pup (unless I made some major changes and used a different style AM cowl)

Congrats on the DH2. It is certainly a better venue for your engine than being ground down and covered by that Pup cowl!

I've just try to fit this engine to cowl (it's shame, but for a first time... my pups arrived few years ago) - it's impossible... Gnome engine is in the full scale - 1:32. Now my engines (Oberursels U0 and UIII, Bentley) are in scale 1:32.5 to allow on fitting in cowl. I'll try to make a new crankcase for Gnome, but it takes time.

Really sorry and all the best, Lukasz

You have nothing to apologize for, Lukasz, you've made the nicest model engines I've ever seen!! The Gnome isn't really meant for the standard Pup. Even the real Pup used a modified cowl if they used a Gnome instead of the usual LeRhone. (I learned this thanks to Bo) ;D

It is a good idea to shrink the engines to 1:32:5 to allow for cowl thickness. Thanks for doing that. I'll definitely be buying at least one or two each of the UO, UIII, and the Bentley)

Thanks again, Lukasz! You are a blessing to our modeling community! :)

Brian Fawcett makes it, but I'm not certain that it will house the Taurus engine without modification.  I'm sure Rowan will know.

I have the Brian Fawcett engine cowl, I did some measurements;

Inside diameter of cowl - 27.70mm
Cowl wall thickness - 0.73mm
Width of cowl front to back - 11.76mm

You may be able to measure your Taurus engine to see if it is going to fit.

Thanks for the info about the cowl. :)

We had a discussion on another thread last week and I decided that it was a shame to cover up the nice Taurus engine so I bought a DH.2! ;D

Here's the thread with some great info about the Pup cowl and the engines used on Pups.

Thanks!
